Lavender, sage and white sage like warm, sunny locations and relatively poor, free-draining soils. Mugwort is resilient and works well in natural herb plantings. Mullein will grow especially well in sunny, drier spots. Elecampane needs a little more space and can develop into an impressive perennial plant.
